The AI backlash begins: Snapchat fans revolt against ChatGPT-powered bot

Image
The rise of AI chatbots has been meteoric this year, but there's growing evidence that they could be spreading just a little too fast. A large number of Snapchat users are voicing their frustrations about the app's ChatGPT -powered 'My AI' assistant. Earlier this week, Snapchat rolled out its new AI chatbot to all of its global users, after trialing it on Snapchat Plus subscribers. And it hasn't exactly been met with universal acclaim, according to reports tracking the app's ratings on the App Store. As spotted by TechCrunch , data from analysts at Sensor Tower revealed that, over the past week, Snapchat’s average U.S App Store review was only 1.67 stars, with three-quarters of those reviews being one star. The reason? Further data from Apptopia shows that 'AI' has been the most common keyword in Snapchat’s App Store reviews during the period. Both of these reports show that Snapchat has received far lower ratings, and three times as many one-star

New Nikon Z8 leaks show it'll be a smaller version of the world's best pro camera

A pretty substantial leak is making the rounds for the upcoming Nikon Z8 DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera, revealing much of its specifications. From the looks of it, the new model is slated to be a miniature version of the Nikon Z9, a camera that we believe is the best for professional photographers . This information comes from a recent report by Nikon Rumors , and if you compare the two devices, you’ll see a lot of similarities. The new model will have the same 45.7MP stacked sensor for high-resolution images. When burst shooting, the Z8 will apparently be capable of taking RAW photos at 20 FPS (frames per second) with a maximum of 120 FPS when in JPEG mode. Shutter speed is, it seems, the same at 1/32,000 of a second. The Z9’s native 64-25,600 ISO range is being carried over to the Z8 as well, according to the leak, as its ability to shoot 8K video at 60 FPS. Other notable features like the electronic shutter and electronic viewfinder are migrating too, it seems. From

Image
Welcome to our liveblog for today's big DJI drone launch, which the rumors are strongly suggesting will be for a DJI Mavic 3 Pro with no less than three cameras. DJI's livestream kicks off at 9am ET / 2pm BST / 11pm AEST today (Tuesday April 25) and we'll be building up to the big announcement here, rounding up all the leaks and official info, and seasoning it all with our early thoughts on what is a pretty exciting new drone. While DJI hasn't officially said that today's launch will be for the DJI Mavic 3 Pro, it's left some pretty strong hints – not least the teaser image for YouTube livestream, which shows a drone gimbal holding a camera with three lenses. Those three lenses could make DJI's drone its most versatile yet, giving fliers three different focal lengths to choose from on one of its consumer drones for the first time. In short, it's shaping up to be a flying equivalent of the world's best camera phones . But despite all of the leak
