Amazon will kick off Black Friday early with its Prime Early Access sale

Shoppers, get ready for another sales event. Amazon has just announced the Prime Early Access Sale following months of rumors and last week's leak . The retailer has confirmed in a press release that the two-day sale will take place on October 11 - 12 and - much like its Prime Day summer bonanza - will feature a range of deals exclusively for Amazon Prime members. Amazon is pitching the Prime Early Access Sale as its introduction to the holiday shopping season with hundreds of thousands of deals set to go live over 48 hours. Taking place six weeks before Black Friday 2022 , too, it's an opportunity to spread out your seasonal spending during times of high inflation and the ongoing credit crunch. Brands set to feature include Shark, Lego, KitchenAid and Samsung, while Amazon has also promised that there will be up to 80% off select Fire TV smart TVs, as well as additional savings on a range of Alexa-enabled devices. That's mostly in line with what we'd expect from a

Prime Early Access Sale - dates leak for Amazon's Prime Day 2 deals event

We've heard a lot of rumblings over the past few months about a potential re-run of Amazon Prime Day later this year. And now it looks like those rumors are at least partly true according to a new page on Amazon that references a Prime Early Access Sale set to take place in October. First spotted by What Hi-Fi , the page in question lists a number of terms and conditions related to a smart plug deal that will be exclusively available during the Prime Early Access Sale. One of these conditions states that the purchase "must take place between October 11, 2022 at 12:00 AM PT and October 12, 2022 at 11:59 PM PT". Based on that, we can reasonably assume that the Prime Early Access Sale will take place at Amazon US between October 11 - October 12. This does tie in with the original rumors that first circulated in June . Back then, a leak revealed that Amazon was asking its retail partners to submit a selection of lightning deals for an event dubbed 'Prime Fall'.

This robot toy nibbles my finger - and I'm okay with that

Amagami Ham Ham is for when a cuddly bear is not enough and a squeeze of a tiny plush bear doesn’t comfort, not in the same way as, say, you or someone else nibbling on your finger. I first saw this strange little robot creature during CES 2022 . It was a cuddly follow-up to Yukai Engineering’s equally strange but perhaps no-less endearing Pet Petite Qoobo robot , which was basically fur pillow with a wagging tail. This bot, though, was different. It’s based on Live Heart’s Nemu Nemu series , which gives the two bear designs fairly specific, almost Anime-style looks. And instead of soothing through vibrations and tail wagging, Amagami uses its mouth, which is just the right size for the tip of most any finger, child, or adult. As the name, which means “soft biting” in Japanese, implies, the little bear will chew on your fingertip when you insert it into the small mouth. Right. It sounds…um...unusual.
